Nikica Jelavic returns to Everton squad

Everton manager David Moyes will have striker Nikica Jelavic available for selection for tomorrow's League Cup encounter against Leeds United.

The Croatian international missed his side's 3-0 victory over Swansea City at the weekend with a knee injury that he sustained during a collision with a post during last Monday's 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.

Reports had claimed that the 27-year-old could be out of action for the remainder of the month.

However, Everton assistant boss Steve Round confirmed this afternoon that he will be back for the trip to Leeds.

Jelavic has scored 10 goals in 17 appearances for the Toffees.
