Everton striker Romelu Lukaku: 'We are the best team in the Europa League'

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has claimed that his side are the best team in the Europa League following their 4-1 win against Young Boys.

The Belgium international, who scored a hat-trick during the first leg of the last-32 tie in Switzerland, believes that European opponents are unable to cope with the tempo of the Premier League.

"We are the best team in the competition," Lukaku told ITV Sport. "You can see in our performances.

"We have only lost once so far in the competition and some of the performances we have delivered so far have been brilliant.

"We don't have to be scared of other teams. It's all about us and how we perform and if we play at the tempo that we do in the Premier League then teams will not be able to cope with us."

Everton and Young Boys will meet for the second leg at Goodison Park next week.
