Kyle Walker rues "stupid" yellow card

England defender Kyle Walker has admitted that he was "stupid" to pick up a booking during Friday's win over Montenegro in World Cup qualifying.

The Tottenham Hotspur full-back will now miss Tuesday's decisive encounter with Poland after receiving a yellow card for a foul on Stevan Jovetic.

Despite the personal disappointment for Walker, the Three Lions ran out 4-1 victors at Wembley Stadium.

"I want to get to the World Cup, I want to be a part of the team at the World Cup," Walker told FATV.

"It's a disappointment for me, a stupid yellow card. Hopefully the boys will go and get the result on Tuesday and I'll be cheering them on."

Walker has won nine caps for England since he made his debut two years ago.
