Lingard: 'England will play without fear'

England winger Jesse Lingard has insisted that the Three Lions will play without fear at this summer's World Cup.

Gareth Southgate's men begin their campaign against Tunisia in Volgograd on Monday, before facing Panama and Belgium in their other Group G ties.

Manchester United man Lingard told Sky Sports News that Southgate's policy of fearless football should also entertain.

"Southgate has come in with the mentality to play with freedom, play without fear, and you will enjoy your time more," the 25-year-old said. "So, as a group of players, that is what we are going to do - enjoy our football, play with no fear and play exciting football at the same time.

"Of course, we want to go all the way to the final, but we are going to take each game as it comes and prepare for each game as we normally do.

"[Southgate] had faith in me to play me against Malta for my debut and I can only thank him for that and ever since then I have kicked on and done well."

Lingard has scored once in 12 caps for the Three Lions.
