England made it four wins from their four matches in Group K on Saturday, with the Three Lions recording a 2-0 victory over Andorra in their latest 2026 World Cup qualification fixture.
An own goal from Christian Garcia sent Thomas Tuchel's side ahead in the 25th minute of the contest, before Declan Rice headed a second for the home side in the 67th minute.
The Three Lions, as expected, dominated the possession, but it was a largely underwhelming performance from the hosts, with Andorra emerging with plenty of credit from the qualification fixture.
England are top of Group K on 12 points, five points ahead of second-placed Serbia, while Andorra are at the bottom on zero points, having lost all five of their games in the section.
SPORTS MOLE'S VERDICT
Well, it is a win.
It was only 1-0 to England in the reverse game against Andorra, so this is not exactly a freak result, but it would be fair to say that many were expecting the home side to put more goals past a team ranked 174th in the world.
This was not a performance that would have sent out a message to England's likely rivals for World Cup glory next summer, but it was a victory, and that is now four in a row for the Three Lions in this section.
Tuchel has much to ponder, and Tuesday's game against a solid Serbia outfit will be extremely interesting, as the Eagles have the tools to hurt England.
A clean sheet and a win equals a successful night for England, but there was not enough happening in the final third of the field, with Marcus Rashford finding it extremely difficult to make his mark.

MAN OF THE MATCH - ELLIOT ANDERSON
On his England debut, Anderson made a huge impression, with the Nottingham Forest midfielder taking his chance, and he has put down a claim for one of the spots in the middle of the park.
The 22-year-old won two aerial duels and two tackles during his 90 minutes on the field, while he finished with a pass success rate of 95%, with his performance one of the major positives for England.

WHAT NEXT?
England will be aiming to make it five wins from five matches in the section when they continue their World Cup qualification campaign with an away fixture against Serbia on Tuesday night.
Andorra, meanwhile, will be looking to build on what was a positive performance when they tackle Estonia in a friendly on Tuesday, before returning to Group K action away to Latvia on October 11.
