England Under-21s ease past Moldova

England end their Under-21 European Championship qualifying campaign with an unbeaten record following a 3-0 win over Moldova.

England have finished their qualifying campaign for the Under-21 European Championship with an unbeaten record thanks to a 3-0 win in Moldova.

The Three Lions, who have claimed first place in Group 1, will now turn their attention to the playoffs ahead of next year's tournament in the Czech Republic.

The visitors took the lead on 16 minutes when Saido Berahino arrived in the box to head in Nathan Redmond's cross.

Berahino then doubled England's lead six minutes into the second half, slotting the ball confidently past the opposition goalkeeper.

The West Bromwich Albion youngster could have sealed his hat-trick moments later, but he was denied from point-blank range.

England continued to dominate the match, and they made sure of the points with six minutes left to play through Harry Kane's strike.
