Rio Ferdinand tips England victory

Rio Ferdinand has backed England to defeat Sweden in this evening's friendly meeting between the two sides at Wembley.

The centre-back was omitted from the squad by manager Fabio Capello, who opted to select his Manchester United teammate Phil Jones in his place.

"Eng vs Swe predictions?? 2 - 0 win for us I'm going for!" the 33-year-old wrote on Twitter.

Ferdinand made his England debut in 1997.
