Adam Lallana: "No problems" for Luke Shaw with England

Adam Lallana backs 18-year-old Luke Shaw to cope with the step up to senior international football.

England's Adam Lallana has insisted that his Southampton teammate Luke Shaw will have "no problems" adapting to senior international level.

The 18-year-old's form for the Saints this season has captured the attention of Roy Hodgson, who has included the full-back in his squad for Wednesday night's friendly match against Denmark at Wembley.

However, despite his tender age, Lallana believes that Shaw has acquired the necessary experience to cope with the demands to play for the Three Lions.

"[He will have] no problems. He has played about 25 to 30 Premier League games and has played against some of the world's best wingers and has coped very well," Lallana told reporters. "Nothing has fazed him so far in his development. He has proven he is ready to be with England."

Shaw has made 28 appearances for Southampton in all competitions this term.
