Roy Hodgson: 'I don't expect Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole problems'

Hodgson: 'No Cole, Ferdinand problems'

England manager Roy Hodgson believes that Rio Ferdinand and Ashley Cole will be able to work together for the Three Lions' World Cup qualifiers.

The pair are thought to have fallen out over the course of the racism controversy surrounding Ferdinand's brother Anton and Chelsea captain John Terry, for whom Cole testified in court.

"I don't envisage any problems, and if there are I'll have to deal with them," Hodgson said in a press conference.

Ferdinand was recalled to the squad for the first time since June 2011.
