The FA are believed to be lining up friendlies against Brazil and Copa America winners Uruguay in a bid at acclimatise themselves ahead of the South American showpiece.

The dates will be planned for June, in order for the squad to have a long enough break before the start of the 2013-14 Premier League season.

A pre-World Cup friendly may also be scheduled with the USA in Miami in May 2014, should the Three Lions qualify.

Roy Hodgson is planning to travel to the host country next month to scout for training bases that they can use during the tournament.

England begin their qualification campaign against Moldova on September 7.
