Toni Duggan praises Mark Sampson

Toni Duggan praises new head coach Mark Sampson's impact on the England women's team.

England forward Toni Duggan has hailed the women's team's new head coach Mark Sampson.

The 31-year-old replaced Hope Powell in December and will lead them into this week's Cyprus Cup.

"There's been a boost in the players' mentality," the 22-year-old told BBC Sport.

"Mark has brought in a lot of new faces and that brings better competition for places and brings us on as players."

Defending champions England's first match of the tournament is against Italy on Wednesday.
