Capello: Rich teams "steal" poor players

Fabio Capello has said that international teams need to be stopped from "stealing" players from poor nations.

The England boss called on UEFA to look at the issue, which he believes influences international eligibility.

"A line needs to be drawn. Richer clubs are stealing players, who are then acquiring new passports," Capello said.

"Players can be bought, especially when they come from poor backgrounds."

Capello highlighted the case of the German team, who used Turkish players in the 2010 World Cup.

"They had five players of Turkish origin - and we all know what happened," he said.

Germany beat England 4-1 in the last 16 of the tournament.
