UEFA to hear Wayne Rooney's appeal next month

UEFA have confirmed that they will hear Wayne Rooney's appeal against his three-match suspension for the 2012 European Championships on Friday, December 9.

This follows the Football Association's official appeal against the verdict which was lodged earlier this month.

The Manchester United striker was handed the ban after he kicked out at Montenegro defender Miodrag Dzudovic during England's 2-2 draw last month.

Rooney is expected to attend the hearing in person at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon.
