Jaw injury rules Gary cahill out of Euro 2012

England defender Gary Cahill is ruled out of Euro 2012 with a jaw injury.

Gary Cahill has been ruled out of Euro 2012 after it emerged that the defender suffered a broken jaw in Saturday's victory over Belgium.

The Chelsea defender was injured when he collided with goalkeeper Joe Hart in the first half of the win at Wembley.

An FA statement has confirmed that Cahill broke his jaw in two seperate places despite original reports suggesting that he would make a recovery.

Liverpool full back Martin Kelly has been called up by Roy Hodgson to replace Cahill.

The 26-year-old joins Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard on England's injury list.
