Team News: Dundee hand debut to Kostadin Gadzhalov

Dundee defender Kostadin Gadzhalov will make his debut for the club against Motherwell.

Dundee have handed a debut to new signing Kostadin Gadzhalov for the Scottish Premiership showdown with Motherwell.

The Bulgarian will feature at the heart of the Dark Blues' defence alongside Iain Davidson, while recent signing Alex Harris keeps his place in midfield.

Motherwell midfielder Stuart Carswell takes up his place in the visitors' lineup following a bout of illness, but left-back Steven Hammell did not recover from minor surgery in time.

Defender Stephen McManus makes the starting XI after the red card he picked up against Aberdeen was rescinded.

Dundee: Bain, McGinn, Gadzhalov, Davidson, Irvine, Thomson, McAlister, Harris, McGowan, Stewart, Clarkson

Motherwell: Twardzik, Reid, Carswell, McManus, O'Brien, Ainsworth, Lasley, Law, Thomas, Sutton, Ojamaa
