Derby County head coach Steve McClaren has revealed that the club is planning to discuss Kalifa Cisse's future over the coming days.
The 29-year-old free agent has been training with the Championship club for three weeks.
McClaren has said that Cisse will find out soon whether he has done enough to earn a contract at Pride Park.
"We will have a chat," BBC Sport quotes McClaren as saying.
"Kalifa has come in, the boys have been great with him and he has done very well."
The Mali midfielder has previously played for Reading and Bristol City.
