Derby County sign Real Madrid youngster on loan

Derby County have secured the services of Omar Mascarell on a season-long loan basis from Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old made the switch following his return from the International Champions Cup in the USA, where he made appearances against Inter Milan and Roma.

"We're delighted that we have been able to bring Omar Mascarell to Derby County on a season-long loan deal," Derby manager Steve McClaren told the club's official website.

"He is a talented young player and I have monitored his progress for a number of years after first coming to my attention while in Holland at Twente."

Mascarell has made one La Liga outing for Los Blancos.
