Derby missed out on going top of the Championship after being held to a 1-1 draw by Barnsley at Pride Park this evening.

The Rams fell behind when former Bolton forward Ricardo Vaz Te set up Jacob Butterfield, who found the bottom corner from close range.

Steve Davies then equalised from the penalty spot after Bobby Hassell was adjudged to have fouled Ben Davies.

Despite late Derby pressure, Barnsley held on to deny the Rams the top spot.

The Yorkshire outift host Coventry on Saturday while Derby entertain Leicester in an East Midlands derby.
