Frank Lampard's Derby future in doubt?

The future of Derby County boss Frank Lampard has reportedly been left in doubt due to the club's off-the-pitch problems.

Lampard has impressed since arriving at the Rams last summer, but it has been alleged that the East Midlands outfit are up for sale and losing £3m per month.

According to The Times, owner Mel Morris has moved to cancel a warm-weather trip to Dubai in order to reduce outgoings this month.

The report suggests that the decision has been negatively received within the first-team squad, and it could lead to Lampard considering his position in the dugout at the end of the campaign.

Derby are said to require promotion to the Premier League in order to avoid significant cutbacks during the summer transfer window, and the club currently sit one point adrift of a playoff place.

Lampard is regarded as a potential replacement for Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri.
