George Thorne returns to full Derby County training

Derby County midfielder George Thorne is given the all-clear to resume full training after six months on the sidelines.

Championship promotion hopefuls Derby County have been boosted by the news that midfielder George Thorne can return to full training.

The 22-year-old is yet to play in a competitive game for the Rams since joining them permanently last summer after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in pre-season.

Derby said on their website this afternoon that Thorne was given the all-clear to resume full training at a six-month check-up.

Thorne scored twice in 12 appearances on loan at the Rams in the second half of last season before his permanent switch from West Bromwich Albion.
