Birmingham City linked with Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams

Birmingham City have been linked with a January bid for Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams.

The Blues are keeping tabs on the Wales international - who is currently on loan at Sunderland - according to the Birmingham Mail.

The 23-year-old joined the Black Cats on a season-long loan during the summer, but Palace have the option to recall him if a firm offer arrives when the transfer window reopens.

Williams, who has played five times in all competitions for Sunderland, is said to be available for around £2m.

The Eagles academy graduate has previously spent time at Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and MK Dons on loan.
