Report: Alan Pardew on brink of Palace sack

Alan Pardew has reportedly been told that he has one game to save his job as Crystal Palace manager following a poor run of form.

The Eagles have lost their last five games in the Premier League to drop to within one point of the relegation zone, putting even more importance on next weekend's clash with Swansea City.

According to The Sun, Palace's board are almost out of patience and will begin the search for a new boss should they fall to defeat in South Wales next Saturday against the division's bottom-placed side.

It is suggested that Sam Allardyce is under consideration for the job, but no contact has yet been made with the former England chief, while Wales's Chris Coleman - who spent four years at Selhurst Park as a player - is another in the frame to take over.

Pardew was appointed by the Eagles in January 2015 but has seen his side suffer a dismal year so far, with new billionaire investor Josh Harris said to be worried about a relegation battle should current form continue any longer.
