Mile Jedinak eyes Crystal Palace response

Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak challenges his side to bounce back from this weekend's defeat to Manchester United when they face Swansea City next Sunday.

Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak has challenged his side to bounce back from Saturday's home defeat to Manchester United when they face Swansea City next Sunday.

Palace fell to just their second defeat at Selhurst Park under Tony Pulis courtesy of a Robin van Persie penalty and Wayne Rooney strike, both of which came in final 30 minutes.

The 29-year-old Australian admits that his side were disappointed with the defeat, but hopes that they can quickly focus on returning to winning ways at the Liberty Stadium in a week's time.

"We had them under a little bit of pressure before that first goal so we'll take a lot of positives from that. We've just got to keep building. The word 'disappointment' comes to mind, but it was encouraging nonetheless," Jedinak is quoted as saying by PA.

"It was a defeat, but we let them off the hook a bit. We gave them a penalty through a challenge which was probably a rash decision at the time. Those things can happen in football.

"Our next game is on Sunday against Swansea away so we've got to regroup, regather, put this out of our system and keep building. There is not time to feel sorry for yourself. We will pick each other up, dust it off and get right back to work."

Palace are currently 16th in the Premier League table, just two points clear of the relegation zone, although they do have a game in hand over the majority of the teams around them.
