Parish: 'Palace back on track under Pardew'

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has said that new manager Alan Pardew is having a huge impact at the club.

The Eagles moved out of the Premier League's relegation zone on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park in Pardew's second match as boss.

Pardew left Newcastle United at the beginning of January to take charge of the South London outfit.

"We are not getting carried away but it feels better at the club and it feels like we are back on track," Parish told the London Evening Standard.

"We have got off to a good start but we are under no illusions that there is a lot of work to do. I knew Alan a little bit and, against a lot of difficulties, he did very well over a long period of time at Newcastle.

"You need someone with experience in the Premier League and Alan is one of the more experienced managers in the division."

Palace travel to Burnley on Saturday.
