Roberto Martinez laments lack of cutting edge

Roberto Martinez says that his side lacked sharpness in their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has said that his side lacked sharpness in their 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace this afternoon.

It was the second consecutive game in which the Toffees failed to find the net, and Martinez lamented his side's ability to break Crystal Palace down.

"We couldn't find that little bit of sharpness in the final third," he told BBC Sport.

"It was a stop-start sort of game and we couldn't get in a position to break them down.

"They were very well organised, worked extremely hard and made it very difficult."

The draw leaves Everton in fifth place in the Premier League table.
