Ian Holloway: 'I lost my passion for Blackpool'

Holloway: 'I lost Blackpool buzz'

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has revealed that the reason he left Blackpool was that he wanted to feel the "threat" of getting sacked.

The 49-year-old made the move to Selhurst Park at the weekend following three years at Bloomfield Road.

"I was tired of feeling like it didn't matter if I won or lost," Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette.

"I just need to feel the threat of getting sacked again, and having to get up, and wanting to get up. I don't think I had the same buzz going in every day, I think the players could feel it."

Holloway will take charge of his first game at Palace when his side take on Ipswich Town tonight.
