Sturridge fully focused on FA Cup

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has insisted that the side are taking nothing for granted in the FA Cup, despite a whole host of big sides going out of the competition in the fourth round.

Manchester City were beaten 2-0 by Championship side Middlesbrough at the Etihad Stadium, while Premier League leaders Chelsea suffered a shock 4-2 reverse to Bradford at Stamford Bridge.

Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur were also knocked out with home defeats to Crystal Palace and Leicester City, but Sturridge is aware of the quality still in the Cup.

He told BT Sport, ahead of the trip to Palace this evening: "With cup football anything can happen.

"The Palace game away will be difficult. But we're looking forward to it. It's a big competition for everyone to want to win, with Chelsea and [Manchester] City out of it.

"But there's still Arsenal, [Manchester] United and it's cup football, it's one game so anyone can progress. I wouldn't like to disregard anyone."

Sturridge returned from a five-month absence at the end of January.
