Kyle McFadzean nears Bristol City move

Bristol City have confirmed that the Championship club are close to agreeing a deal for Crawley Town defender Kyle McFadzean.

The 25-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the club this January, but it had been suggested that a change of managers would scupper the transfer.

However, a spokesman for the club told the Evening Post: "The two clubs are close to agreement, but there are still a few small details to be ironed out. Progress is being made but nothing is imminent."

McFadzean is regarded as one of the best defenders in League One.
