Bendtner hoping to retire at Copenhagen

Nicklas Bendtner has revealed that he would "love" to end his career with Copenhagen.

The former Arsenal and Birmingham City striker signed a three-year deal with Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg during the summer.

However, the 26-year-old has admitted that prior to his retirement, he is determined to return to the city of his birth to see out his playing days.

"I would like to come back. I would love to come home to FCK one day to finish my career. That is my goal," he told Danish reporters.

Bendtner played for Copenhagen's feeder club Kjobenhavns Boldklub as a youngster, but he never turned out for the senior side before he moved to North London in 2004.
