Colorado Rapids record comfortable win

Colorado Rapids have missed out on the MLS playoffs despite a 2-0 victory over Houston Dynamo.

Colorado started well and were ahead after nine minutes courtesy of Kamani Hill's long-range strike.

Houston nearly responded immediately but Steward Ceus was able to save Cameron Weaver's shot.

Shortly after half-time the home side brought on Andre Akpan for Oscar Cummings and the substitute had an instant impact, heading in after Martin Rivero's shot was cleared off the line.

Houston struggled to create anything after that and Colorado recorded a comfortable victory to leave them six points adrift of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
