Luke Garbutt extends Colchester United stay

Colchester United have extended the loan of Everton defender Luke Garbutt until January 4.

The 20-year-old initially joined the League One side on a short-term loan in September.

"Colchester are giving me every opportunity to do what I do best on the football pitch," Garbutt told BBC Sport.

"On a personal level, it's been very good. I've benefited from playing first-team football week in, week out. I've gained confidence from each game that I've played."

Garbutt has made 10 appearances for Colchester.
