Paul Cook is named the new Chesterfield boss on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Paul Cook has been named as the new Chesterfield manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The 45-year-old has joined the Spireites from League Two rivals Accrington Stanley.

"I'm delighted to be the new Chesterfield manager," Cook told the club's official website. "It's a fantastic club with a great infrastructure and I'm really looking forward to the challenge."

Cook will take charge of the side for the first time when they host Barnet at the Proact Stadium on Saturday.
