Shenhua Shanghai remain keen on Drogba

Shanghai Shenhua boss Sergio Batista has revealed that the club are hopeful of securing a deal for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

The 34-year-old will depart the Blues this summer after an eight-year spell, and he is expected to sign a lucrative contract in the Chinese Super League.

"The people from the club are doing the best things to get Drogba here. I think every coach in the world wants to get Drogba on the team and I hope everything is okay," he told reporters.

Former Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka joined the Chinese outfit in January.
