Paris Saint-Germain reportedly agree a deal to sign Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech on loan until the end of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Morocco international had been given the green light to leave Stamford Bridge following the January arrivals of Joao Felix, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke.

Earlier in January, Ziyech was understood to have been in talks with AC Milan, but the Rossoneri apparently pulled the plug on a deal due to the 29-year-old's wages.

Ziyech's salary is not a problem for financial powerhouses PSG, though, and the French champions have been fighting tooth and nail to bring the ex-Ajax attacker to the club on deadline day.

Talks had ostensibly hit a brick wall due to alleged 'greed' from Chelsea, but Ziyech personally intervened to get a deal over the line, having already completed his medical in Paris.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, PSG and Chelsea have finally reached a deadline-day agreement for Ziyech, who will join Christophe Galtier's side on a short-term loan.

Romano adds that Ziyech's switch to the Parc des Princes does not include an option or obligation to buy, and the attacker only had eyes for a move to the Parc des Princes.

Ziyech will arrive in the French capital as a short-term replacement for Pablo Sarabia, who signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers on a permanent deal earlier this month.

The 29-year-old has registered just one assist from 15 games in a Chelsea shirt this season, taking his total for the Blues to 14 goals and 11 assists since signing from Ajax in 2020.

Ziyech remains under contract at Chelsea until 2025, and he will now compete with Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar for starts at PSG.
