Chelsea 'being greedy in Ziyech to PSG talks'

Chelsea are reportedly being 'greedy' during negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a potential exit for Hakim Ziyech.

On Monday evening, it emerged that discussions were underway regarding a loan switch for the Morocco international.

Chelsea have already signed Noni Madueke, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Joao Felix during January, leaving the Blues in a position where they can afford to facilitate departures.

The initial report stated that Ziyech is eager to complete a transfer to Parc des Princes, the assumption being that he will soon be relegated back to the substitutes' bench.

However, according to L'Equipe, a positive conclusion for Ziyech is far from a foregone conclusion.

Chelsea are said to be being 'greedy' when it comes to trying to ensure that terms are in their favour, a stance which is holding up a transfer.

That is despite it being suggested on Monday that a straight loan would be the agreement, the 29-year-old returning to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The report says that Ziyech now feels the need to push Chelsea officials into allowing him to take up the opportunity to move to France before Tuesday's deadline.

Ziyech, who starred for his country at the World Cup, has featured on six occasions for Chelsea since returning from international duty.

From the perspective of PSG, the former Ajax man is viewed as a replacement for Pablo Sarabia, who signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month.
