Young Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo has signed a new four-year contract with Chelsea.
The 20-year-old, who joined the club from ADO Den Haag as a teenager two-and-a-half years ago, has committed his future to the Blues by penning a deal until 2018.
"To play at such a fantastic club is a real honour for me and I'll be working incredibly hard to be successful," he told the club website.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in England so far and can't wait to get going (with Chelsea)."
Although yet to play for the Blues' first team, Omeruo does now have experience of competitive action in England after spending three months on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough recently.
He is currently with the Nigeria squad ahead of the World Cup and already has 14 caps for the Super Eagles.
