Chelsea to sign Standard Liege defender

Chelsea are reportedly close to signing Standard Liege defender Kenneth Omeruo.

Once the Nigerian has completed the switch, he is then expected to be loaned out to Dutch club ADO Den Haag.

"I hope all the paperwork is in place soon so he can join our squad," ADO Den Haag coach Maurice Steijn told Omroep West.

The 18-year-old will play for the Dutch side until the end of next season.
