Leeds eye January swoop for Chelsea's Fikayo Tomori?

Leeds United are reportedly keeping an eye on Chelsea's Fikayo Tomori ahead of a potential move for the defender in January.

Leeds United are reportedly keeping an eye on Chelsea's Fikayo Tomori ahead of a potential move for the defender in January.

Head coach Marcelo Bielsa revealed at his media conference last Wednesday that he has no plans to buy a defender in the transfer window next month, but a loan deal has not been ruled out.

Football Insider reports that Tomori is one player being considered by Leeds as a defensive option to recruit next month and that the defender would be keen on a move.

The 22-year-old has struggled for game time at Chelsea and has featured in only one of the club's 18 Premier League and Champions League fixtures so far this season.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is willing to loan Tomori out for the second half of the campaign after talks over a season-long loan to West Ham United fell through in early October.

Summer signing Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma have emerged as the first choice centre-back partnership at Chelsea with Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger currently ahead of Tomori in the pecking order.
