Robbie Keane optimistic about Frank Lampard LA Galaxy arrival

Los Angeles Galaxy striker Robbie Keane has claimed that the MLS side "need" players like Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

The England international was heavily linked with a switch to the US before reports emerged claiming that Chelsea are prepared to offer the 34-year-old a new contract.

"Listen, we need players like that, and bringing in a Frank Lampard would obviously be good for the team," Goal.com quotes Keane as saying. "So hopefully, we will see him soon."

Lampard's current contract at Stamford Bridge runs out at the end of the season.
