Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has reportedly remained as a transfer target for Inter Milan.
The 30-year-old has enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign, making a total of eight starts in all competitions with Thomas Tuchel preferring the Spaniard to Ben Chilwell.
However, while Alonso has less than two years remaining on his contract, he will be regarded as an option by a number of top European clubs.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Inter continue to monitor the situation, despite missing out on signing the player during the summer window.
Alonso allegedly rejected the opportunity to move to San Siro as part of the deal which saw Romelu Lukaku make the switch in the opposite direction.
The left-sided player is no stranger to life in Serie A having previously made 84 appearances for Fiorentina earlier in his career.
