Chelsea have reportedly begun negotiations with Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill over personal terms.
The Blues have secured a £7m fee for Cahill and are now in the process of discussing the switch with his agent, according to The Mirror.
Cahill's agent John Seasman has begun discussions on wages with Chelsea's Ron Gourlay with the aim of setting up a medical after the weekend.
Terms on the length of the new contract are still to be agreed, but Cahill is expected to agree to the deal in order to gain high-profile experience in his bid to make Fabio Capello's England squad for Euro 2012.
