Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has claimed that Daniel Sturridge is nearing a move to Liverpool.
The striker is expected to undergo a medical at Anfield in the coming days ahead of a proposed £12m switch from the European champions.
When asked if he could confirm the transfer, Benitez told Sky Sports News: "I cannot confirm it but I think so."
Sturridge joined Chelsea from Manchester City for free in 2009.
