Juan Mata hails Frank Lampard as a Chelsea "legend".

Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata has hailed Frank Lampard as a club "legend".

Lampard became the Blues' all-time top scorer on Saturday when he scored both goals in the 2-1 win against Aston Villa.

Lampard's strikes were his 202nd and 203rd for the club he signed for in 2001 and Mata believes that he has legendary status at Stamford Bridge.

"What can I say about Frank Lampard? he is one of the best for sure," Mata told Sky Sports News.

"I would like to be like him, as a player, a professional and as a person. When I was growing up he was already one of the best, and he was at the top. He is a legend at the club."

The Blues play Benfica in the Europa League final tonight.
