Juan Mata feels confident that Chelsea can win a trophy this season, with the Champions League and the FA Cup in their sights.

Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata believes that the former English champions have a good chance of bringing trophies to Stamford Bridge this season.

The Blues remain in contention for silverware in the Champions League after their first-leg victory over Benfica in the quarter-finals, as well an FA Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham Hotspur on the horizon.

When asked if Chelsea are capable of winning silverware this season, Mata replied: "Why not, why not? It will not be easy, but we are alive and are fighting for the Champions League and FA Cup.

"We will try to finish the Premier League in third or fourth position and will fight for that. Every player is involved to achieve our objectives in the FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League."

In the domestic league, Chelsea are currently five points behind fourth place.
