Luis Enrique: 'We leave the United States happy'

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique believes that the club's pre-season tour of the United States has been a success, despite winning just one of their three matches.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has claimed that the Catalan outfit will return to Europe "happy" following three pre-season games in the United States.

Barca opened their preparations for the new campaign with a 2-1 win over Los Angeles Galaxy, but were then beaten 3-1 by Manchester United.

The Spanish side drew 2-2 with Chelsea on Tuesday, before losing 4-2 on penalties to the Premier League champions.

Despite only recording one win during their time in the States, Enrique believes that the tour was a success.

"We have been able to get playing time against top-quality opposition, we have had the chance to feel the support of lots of fans, who have been the majority in the grounds and we have been able to promote the club. We go back home happy," Enrique told reporters.

"We did not lose the match against Chelsea, we drew. It was a game of a high physical level, although we had times when we did not control the game."

Barcelona are next in pre-season action away to Fiorentina on Sunday.
