Frank Lampard "disappointed" with defeat

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has expressed his disappointment following his side's 1-0 defeat to Corinthians in the final of the Club World Cup this afternoon.

Despite heading into the encounter as the favourites to win the trophy, a header from Paolo Guerrero was enough for the Brazilians to claim the title at the expense of the Blues.

"It was always going to be a tough game because they are very tough team. Brazilian teams are very organised in club football," Lampard told BBC Sport.

"We're just disappointed to get all the way here and not win it."

Chelsea's next match is a League Cup tie against Leeds United on Wednesday night.
