Defender Gary Cahill says that the Chelsea squad remains a "tight group" despite defeats in three of their last four matches in all competitions.

Defender Gary Cahill has said that Chelsea must choose "the right path" during their upcoming matches.

The Blues have suffered three defeats in their last four matches in all competitions, with Bournemouth and Watford prevailing by three-goal margins in their last two fixtures in the Premier League.

Chelsea face matches with West Bromwich Albion and Hull City before a Champions League clash with Barcelona, and Cahill has stressed that the West Londoners must return to winning ways as soon as possible.

The 32-year-old told Sky Sports News: "We are at that road where you can either turn left or right. We are on a road where the sooner we have the opportunity to go down the right path the better, because drawing on past experiences you have that feeling, it's bubbling outside the club.

"In the club we are fine in terms of a tight group and everyone is together; there are no falling outs or clashes with the manager. We are fine, but we need to get back on that good path as soon as we possibly can."

Earlier this week, Cahill described Chelsea's performance in the 4-1 defeat at Watford as "abysmal".
