Chelsea have defended their pricing of the club's new kit after it was launched earlier today.
Eden Hazard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek revealed the new kit live on Facebook, with an adult standard replica shirt being available for £55 and a child's on the market for £45.
However, the Blues will also offer an enhanced version called the 'Adi Zero', which is on sale for £90 plus a further £16.95 should fans want a name and number on the back of the shirt.
"There are people who want to buy the more expensive authentic version and we are happy to cater for that market but, to be clear, Chelsea FC are selling the main replica shirt for £55 for adults, and from £45 for children, which is in line with other leading European clubs," said a spokesperson for the club.
"Ninety-nine per cent of the Chelsea shirts that will be on sale in the UK will be the replica version."
A pair of socks for the 2016-17 Chelsea kit will cost £13, while the shorts are on the market at £25.
