Gary Cahill believes that Chelsea can still win the Premier League title following Sunday's 8-0 victory over Aston Villa.

Gary Cahill has claimed that Chelsea can still win the Premier League title following Sunday's 8-0 thrashing of Aston Villa.

The Blues are now 11 points behind Manchester United with a game in hand after the league leaders could only draw 1-1 at Swansea City.

When asked if his side could close the gap between them and United, Cahill told talkSPORT: "No doubt. Like you've seen today [Manchester United have] slipped a couple of points.

"They are a very strong outfit and have been there many, many times, so it will be tough, but all we can do is try not to drop many points now and with performances like that we won't go far wrong.

"Obviously it is a big gap but we can only go out and get results."

Chelsea return to league action on Boxing Day when they travel to 10th-placed Norwich City.
