Chelsea manager Antonio Conte confirms that captain John Terry will miss two to three weeks with a muscular injury.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that John Terry will miss his side's London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday due to a muscular injury.

Terry has been forced to settle for a place on the bench in recent weeks, making just one substitute appearance in the Premier League since picking up an ankle injury in September.

In the 35-year-old's absence Chelsea have embarked on a six-match winning streak without conceding a single goal, and Terry will now be sidelined for at least two more weeks.

"For tomorrow I don't have available John Terry and [John] Obi Mikel," Conte told reporters.

"John has a muscular problem and Obi is recovering from a muscular problem. I'm not sure if [Terry's] injury was in the Under-23 game or the day after."

Saturday's match will see the league leaders take on the only remaining unbeaten side in the division.
